New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie will take questions from his office in Trenton regarding GW bridge lane closures scandal

New Jersey Governor Chris Christie will be holding a press conference on Thursday to answer questions about the George Washington bridge lane closures that have plagued his administration.

Gov. Christie has been accused of being involved in the closures as a way to get back at Fort Lee’s Democratic Mayor.

According to USA Today, he will be taking questions from his office in Trenton, New Jersey starting at 11am.

As we previously reported, Christie’s main aide, Bridget Anne Kelly, is being exposed exchanging emails with David Wildstein, one of Christie’s appointees to the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey. The emails were sent two weeks before the lanes on the bridge were shut down without warning in September, causing unprecedented traffic.

Christie said on Wednesday, “I am outraged and deeply saddened to learn that not only was I misled by a member of my staff, but this completely inappropriate and unsanctioned conduct was made without my knowledge.”
