New Line Cinema will move onto the Warner Bros. lot

Changes are taking place for movie studio executives. The successful New Line Cinema is scheduled to move into the Warner Bros. lot this June.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, New Line Cinema, run by Toby Emmerich, is preparing to move its offices. This means a change of place for some of the best in industry. The office space was used by Warner Brothers until 1978. Later, during the 1980s, it contained office space for producer Paula Weinstein, James Garner, and John Travolta. Paula Weinstein is more recently known for her films, Blood Diamond, Monster-in-Law, Analyze That, and the TV movie Iron Jawed Angels. John Travolta, best known for his work as an actor, has recently served as producer of Battlefield Earth. He was the executive producer of She’s So Lovely.

Thomas Tull, known for his work with Legendary Entertainment, has signed a deal with Universal to move the studio to an office tower less than a mile from the Warner Bros. lot.

New Line Cinema has about 50 employees, according to Variety. Popular films from New Line include The Lord of the Rings and Austin Powers.
