Ohio man arrested wearing Google Glass at the movie theater

The FBI questioned an Ohio man Saturday who an AMC theater suspected was recording a movie using his Google Glass eye wear.

The glasses, according to Imperial Valley Press, contains a recording device. AMC spokesman Ryan Noonan stated that the company considers movie theft a high priority issue and that is why authorities were notified.

The unidentified man was taken into custody and questioning. According to Silicon Republic, the man was interrogated for over an hour about the eye wear and his personal life.

The Google Glass eye wear was being used by the man as part of a beta test before the Google Glass Explorer programme releases the product to the general public. For an extra fee, the glasses can have prescription lenses installed. The man was using the eye wear as his prescription glasses, and allowed authorities to check the USB port on the glasses and look at his files. There were photos of his wife and dog on the glasses, but no movie recordings.

The manager of the theater issued a statement apologizing for the trouble and has given the man four free passes to the theater.
