Pennsylvania teen charged with possession of a weapon of mass destruction

Vladislav Miftakhov, a 19 year old Pennsylvania man, has been arrested and charged with possession of a weapon of mass destruction.

While authorities were investigating the man's home for claims of marijuana growth, they discovered a bomb along with items for making it inside of a suitcase.

Upon being questioned about the explosive device that was found, Miftakhov explained that he planned to "blow things up".

According to CNN, the man later assured authorities that his plan was to set the bombs off in a field. He also informed police that he has made other bombs before in another state.

A neighbor of Miftakhov explained to CNN that the man was "the weirdest individual he had ever met".

Police discovered five marijuana seedlings, a grow light, one pound of atomized magnesium, one pound of Chinese potassium perchlorate, and a package of potassium nitrate inside the home.

12 News stated that the Pennsylvania State Police bomb squad have properly deactivated the explosive device.

The young man is scheduled to appear in court on February 5th and a bond has been set at $500,000.
