Singer Beck previews new album in short trailer (Video)

A campaign has started to promote Beck’s new album, Morning Phase.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, a trailer has circulated to promote the album. It is 90-second video that shows Beck’s collaborative team pressing the album, Morning Phase, onto vinyl on the recording artist’s new label, Capitol Records.

The tune featured on the trailer is “Blue Moon,” a song that will be featured on an episode of HBO’s Girls. Morning Phaseis Beck’s first album since Modern Guilt was released in 2008. The recording artist says the album is a “companion piece” to Sea Change, released in 2002. Morning Phase features collaborators Justin Meldal-Johnsen, Joey Waronker, Roger Joseph Manning Jr., and Smokey Hormel.

Beck broke into the music industry with his synthesis of folk, hip-hop, and soul. Popular songs include “Loser” and “Where It’s At.” Beck’s fans were able to catch him on tour this past Summer with Wilco and Bob Dylan, according to Billboard. His new album will be released on Feb. 25.
