The Wanted announce hiatus after upcoming 'World of Mouth' tour wraps

U.K. boy band The Wanted announced today that they will be taking a hiatus. The Word of Mouth singers plan on finishing their current tour of the U.K. before going on to take personal projects.

The group made the announcement on their website, writing, “This tour will be their last for a while as Tom, Max, Jay, Siva and Nathan have collectively decided to take time to pursue personal endeavours following the tour's conclusion.” They stressed that they are not breaking up and will get back together as The Wanted at some point in the future.

“They thank their fans for their continued love and support and look forward to seeing them on tour,” the statement concluded.

According to MTV News, they have a short Word of Mouth tour starting on March 14 in Liverpool and ending on March 25 in Belfast. After they are done with those dates, they plan on starting their break.

Before the group goes on tour though, they are releasing “Glow In The Dark,” a track on Word, as a single. The song will also get a video.

The group also used their Twitter page to thank fans for their support:
