Woman says she found noose at cubicle in government office

An Oregon woman says she found a noose taped to a cubicle in a government office building.

According to KATU, a human resources investigation was conducted after Vanessa Savage said she made the discovery, but the investigation concluded that the noose was not racially motivated. And investigators only recommended that employees undergo sensitivity counseling.

KPTV has reported that the employee said she is launching her own investigation into the incident, because she feels like her employers did not do enough.

"I'd like to see that me and my co-workers can go to work and not have to face this," she said.

Savage and her attorney will be seeking legal action.

"I'm just outraged that I have to come to work and face something like that," she said.

It’s appalling that county investigators did not find the noose to be racially motivated, but Savage will have a strong case if her claims of hostility in the workplace can be proven.
