Alex Pettyfer and Gabriella Wilde share ‘Endless Love’ romance secret

Alex Pettyfer and Gabriella Wilde discuss some details of their movie, “Endless Love” that comes out on Feb. 14.

This will be the second adaptation of Scott Spencer’s romance novel, “Endless Love” but besides the character names and title there may not be too many similarities between the materials. This adaptation promises to be more uplifting than the last.

“[This movie] is not as dark as the book,” Pettyfer told MTV News. “They are going insane a little bit [in the book]. There are drugs involved.”

Wilde agreed stating that while there are undoubtedly similarities, the whole basis of the characters has been changed.

“For Jade, her character in the book is different from who she is in the movie,” she explained. “There are obviously similarities. They’re both about falling in love, but it’s a different angle. There’s a different viewpoint on it.

With love as the underlying theme, Pettyfer and Wilde shared what they did in order to create an undeniable spark that an audience can see. It involved two weeks of extra rehearsal before they filmed in Georgia.

“We had rehearsal time set aside, so we rehearsed together in LA,” Wilde revealed. “Then we had two weeks in Atlanta as well, before we actually started filming, so that we could actually spend time getting to know each other and working on the script without diving straight in.”

“Endless Love” opens in theaters on Feb. 14.
