Amy Adams has had quite the year so far, she is nominated for an Oscar for her role in American Hustle and won the Golden Globe but recently when she appeared on Bravo's Inside The Actor Studio the actress was overcome with emotions when talking about her late co-star Phillip Seymour Hoffman.

Adams had worked with Hoffman on the 2008 Oscar nominated film Doubt and teared up when asked about her co-star, Moviefone reported.

"He was beautiful. He's a beautiful spirit and he had this unique ability to see people, to really see them -- not look through them -- he just really saw people. And he will be missed. ... I just really loved him, and I know so many people did," said Adams.

Entertainment Weekly reported that Adams also started with Hoffman in Charlie Wilson’s War

and The Master.

The two actors had a friendship both on and off screen.
