Busta Rhymes' father passes away

Rapper Busta Rhymes attended the wake of his father Saturday, Feb. 8.

Wenn reports that the Busta Rhymes, real name Trevor Tahiem Smith, Jr., along with family, attended the wake of his father whom he lost late last month.

Smith took to his Twitter page to pay a tribute to his father, who he calls the 'Paradise King.'

The cause of death is unknown.

Smith is currently working on the release of his new album, hoping for it to release sometime late April early May.

"I hope that the people really appreciate every molecule, proton, neutron, electron, every component that went into this project because I don't think I ever made an album like this," Smith told HipHollywood.

Smith has been working on the album for four years and is in no rush to return back into the studio after its release.

"I don't think that I'm going to be too anxious to put as much into another album like this for a minute," Smith said.
