Cate Blanchett and Justin Theroux pay their respect to Philip Seymour Hoffman's family

The world is still reeling over the tragic death of actor Philip Seymour Hoffman. Hoffman, 46 died on Sunday, February 2nd, 2014 in New York City from a heroine drug overdose. On Monday, February 3rd, actors Cate Blanchett and Justin Theroux were spotted leaving Hoffman's West Village apartment after visiting Hoffman's long-time partner Mimi O'Donnell.

Us Weekly reports that Blanchett and Theroux were spotted separately visiting O'Donnell to pay respect to their late friend Hoffman. Theroux is heartbroken over the loss of his friend. A source told Us Weekly how, "Justin is totally broken up about losing Phil". Blanchett, meanwhile was seen holding what looked to be a box filled with toys for O'Donnell and Hoffman's three children, Cooper, 10, Tallulah, 7, and Willa, 5. Blanchett and Hoffman starred together in film The Talented Mr. Ripley.

ABC News details how the police told them on Monday that they found five empty heroin bags and 65 more bags of filled withed heroin in Hoffman's apartment. Earlier in the day investigators said that they found more than 50 unused heroin bags in the apartment.
