Colombian councilman claims Shakira and Rihanna’s new video promotes "lesbianism"

A Columbian politician is claiming that Shakira and Rihanna’s steamy new video for “Can’t Remember to Forget You” promotes “lesbianism” and is a “danger to children.”

According to The New York Daily News, Marco Fidel Ramirez, a conservative and Christian councilman from Bogota, is trying to get the video from being broadcast on any television in the nation.

Last week Ramirez tweeted about the video saying it was an “unabashed glorification of lesbianism” and “simply disgusting.”

However, this isn’t the first time Ramirez bashed things he didn’t believe in. According to Colombia Reports, he has also tried to ban Halloween which was deemed “Satanic.”

The video, according to Ramirez, also promotes tobacco use, stealing and killing along with the so-called “lesbianism.”

The councilman seems to be very upset with the Columbian born 37-year-old also saying on twitter, “Our Shakira with her erotic video is promoting tobacco use and has become the worst example for our youth.”

The video for “Can’t Remember to Forget You” has received over 70 million viewers since its release on Jan. 30.
