Female divers still missing in shark-infested waters off coast of Bali

Five Japanese divers have been found alive, but two are still missing in the shark-infested waters off the coast of Bali.

According to the Daily Mail, fishermen spotted five of the seven divers, who went missing last week, clinging to a coral reef on Monday.

The Associated Press reported that local police chief Maj. Nyoman Suarsika said one person was in critical condition and airlifted to a hospital in Jimbaran. He said the four others would be evacuated by boat.

Officials said that the women were very weak, hungry and suffering from hypothermia after being stuck at sea for three days.

They survived high winds and heavy rain, which tampered their trip in the first place.

The divers were reported missing when their boat did not return to the Mangrove area of Nusa Lembongan, where they departed from.

The search continues for the two missing women who set out with the group for the diving expedition off the Indonesian resort island.
