Jennifer Aniston in talks for 'Mean Moms' comedy

Jennifer Aniston is in negotiations to star in the upcoming new film from New Line Mean Moms.

According to TheWrap, who first reported the news, the film is an adaptation of Rosalind Wiseman's advice book. Beth McCarthy-Miller is on board to direct the movie.

Offspring Entertainment's Jennifer Gibgot and Adam Shankman are producing, along with Jill Messick.

If the movie title conjures up an image of the popular Lindsay Lohan film Mean Girls, that shouldn't be a surprise since it too was an adaptation of a Wiseman advice book. Mean Moms isn't a sequel, however.

Mean Moms is about a new family that moves into the suburbs from a small town and the mom finds herself dealing with highly competitive parents, looking to do whatever they can for their children.

The book is called Queen Bee Moms and King Pin Dads: Dealing with Parents, Teachers, Coaches, and Counselors Who Can Make - or Break - Your Child's Future. notes The Hollywood Reporter.

Aniston has had a good run as of late with comedy films as she appeared in last year's We're the Millers and Horrible Bosses, the latter of which is getting a sequel she will be returning to.
