More snow in the Northeast leaves thousands without power

After another snow and ice storm hit the US Northeast, hundreds of thousands of homes and businesses are out of power. This latest storm brought about a foot of snow to the Eastern coastline from Maine down to Maryland reported < a href= http://www.reuters.com/article/2014/02/07/us-usa-weather-idUSBREA120WG20140207> Reuters affecting more than 100 million people.
With tree branches snapping in half, several power lines were knocked down and at least four deaths have been reported due to the storm.
Philadelphia has taken the hardest hit from the storm with an estimated 623,000 homes and businesses that remained without power early Thursday after the storm according to < a href= http://www.cnn.com/2014/02/06/us/weather/> CNN . By Thursday afternoon, this number came down to 431,000. With residents and businesses still without power, most should received electricity by Friday however few could have to wait a few more days until Sunday.
After 2,893 flights cancelled Wednesday, flights have begun again with only 875 flights cancelled as of Thursday at 7 p.m. EST. As the cold continues in the Northeast, the central US also deals with freezing temperatures 20-40 degrees below average.
