One Direction’s Louis Tomlinson makes soccer debut

Known for being part of one of the biggest musical acts on the planet right now, One Direction’s Louis Tomlinson will be taking to the pitch in his debut soccer/English football match with the Doncaster Rovers.

According to Reuters the teenage heartthrob made his soccer debut with the Doncaster Rovers, who Tomlinson is a life-long fan of.

Not coming until the 64th minute of the match, Telegraph UK noted Tomlinson, in number 28, entered the pitch with a roar of excited. Where a normal match will see 100 tickets sold, for the One Direction singers debut, over 5,000 tickets were sold, of course, the majority of spectators being female.

The 22 year old was set to make his debut for the Champions in August, but was sidelined by injury during a charity match, including a busy schedule recording and touring with the X-Factor UK upstarts. Proceeds from his debut also went to charity.
