Philip Seymour Hoffman saw his death coming

Just weeks before Philip Seymour Hoffman’s death, the Oscar winning actor predicted his death saying if he didn’t stop his drug use, his life would end fatally.

According to TMZ, Hoffman began to binge on heroin six weeks before he died of an apparent drug overdose in his NYC apartment.

He apparently told friends that he feared he would overdose if he didn’t stop his habit when he began using the drug in December. He checked himself into AA in an attempt to clean himself up but unfortunately the therapy didn’t work.

According to sources, TMZ was told that during his last six weeks he looked “disheveled and dirty.” One friend asked him how serious his addiction was and he said, “If I don’t stop I know I’m gonna die.”

Over 50 bags of heroin were found in the actors West Village apartment at the time of his death but Hoffman was always praised for being sober the past 23 years.

However, TMZ also reports that he was attending AA meetings over the past four years in an attempt to give “inspirational talks” to people who were in trouble. He was seen as a “guru” because of how long he had been sober.

Since his surprise and shocking death, it was recently confirmed that he will not be replaced in the new The Hunger Games movie, Mockingjay as the gamemaker, Plutarch Heavensbee.
