Philip Seymour Hoffman withdrew $1,2000 from ATM before death, partner wanted him to get healthy (Reports)

More details about Philip Seymour Hoffman’s final hours are coming out, revealing what the acclaimed actor did before his death at age 46 on Sunday. It’s being reported that he withdrew $1,200 from a grocery store ATM Saturday night and that his partner, Mimi O’Donnell, hoped that he would get healthy.

As previously reported, police recorded 50 bags of heroin at his West Village apartment, with some empty and others full. A law enforcement source told the New York Post on Tuesday that he took out $1,200 from an ATM at the D’Agostino grocery store in six installments. While there are no surveillance cameras there, the source said that bank records prove it.

According to Fox News, a man who saw Hoffman Saturday night told police that he looked sweaty and “like sh*t.”

A source told The Daily News that O’Connell, the mother of Hoffman’s three young children, had hoped he would get better. “She clearly wanted him around, but she wanted him healthy,” the source told the paper.

Hoffman had tried to beat his addiction, going to rehab in December. A source told TMZ that his addiction had only gotten worse in his last six weeks, though, reportedly telling this source, “If I don't stop I know I'm gonna die.”

Hoffman was found dead Sunday morning, reportedly with a needle in his arm. Broadway is set to pay tribute to him on Wednesday night by dimming the lights.
