Seth Meyers’ farewell from 'Saturday Night Live'

Seth Meyers, head writer and Weekend Update anchor of Saturday Night Live, was joined last night by Amy Poehler and other familiar faces for his final goodbye. He will be leaving the show, after a decade, to take over Jimmy Fallon’s spot on Late Night.

Past and current stars of the show joined Meyers for his final Weekend Update, according to Guardianlv.com. Alongside Meyers was Poehler, who acted as co-anchor on the skit for years, until Cecily Strong took her place.

He is excited for his new role as host of Late Night, when Fallon moves to The Tonight Show, but knows that it will be different than that of Fallon’s show.

"There'll be way less wonderful impressions," Myers said. "There'll be way less beautiful singing, and all the things that Jimmy does better than anyone else in late night. I'm very aware that I don't do as well,” reports Wsls.com.

Fans will miss Meyers on SNL, but luckily he isn’t going far.
