Sochi 2014 Medal Count for Feb. 10

Another day of the Sochi Winter games have passed and more countries have earned medals and entered the race. Here is the current medal count at the end of the Feb. 10 games.

Canada shot to the top of the list, adding 3 medals to give them a final count of 7. In Freestyle Skiing: Men's Moguls, they earned a Gold from Alex Bilodeau, and a Silver from Mikeal Kingsbury. They also earned a Gold from Charles Hamelin in Short Track: Men's 1500 m.

The Netherlands have also added e medals to their count, and now have 7 total medals. They earned Gold, Silver, and Bronze from Michael Mulder, Jan Smeekens, and Ronald Mulder respectively in Speed Skating: Men's 500 m.

The United States now have 5 medals after winning a Bronze from Julia Mancuso in Alpine Skiing: Women's Super Combined.

Germany now has 2 medals after earning a Gold from Maria Hoeflriesch in Alpine Skiing: Women's Super Combined.

Russia now has 6 medals, but Germany is ahead because they have more Gold. Russia earned 2 Bronze medals today; one from Alexandr Smyshlyaev in Freestyle Skiing: Men's Moguls, and another from Victor An in Short Track: Men's 1500 m.

Austria now has 3 medals after earning a Silver from Nicole Hosp in Alpine Skiing: Women's Super Combined.

France entered the board after earning 2 medals in the Biathlon: Men's 12.5 km Sprint; a Gold from Martin Fourcade, and a Bronze from Jean Guillaume Beatrix.

The Czech Republic now have 3 medals after earning a Silver from Ondrej Moravec in the Biathlon: Men's 12.5 km Sprint.

China has also entered the ranks after earning a Silver from Tianyu Han in Short Track: Men's 1500 m.

The games continue tomorrow with Figure Skating, Snowboarding, Luge, and many more.
