'The Biggest Loser' winner Rachel Frederickson defends weight, denies an eating disorder

The newest winner of NBC’s The Biggest Loser is speaking out after receiving backlash about her 105-pound frame at the finale of the show.

Rachel Frederickson revealed her size 0-2 frame at the finale after three months of vigorous training and a strict 1,600-calorie per day diet much to the surprise of viewers.

"Maybe I was a little too enthusiastic in my training to get to the finale," she told People. Frederickson said she worked out for six hours a day.

When asked if she has an eating disorder, she replied, "I am very, very healthy."

When viewers tuned in to the finale, they had different opinions. Fans of the show were appalled and voiced their concern on Twitter, with one user saying “#Biggestloser - Always inspired me but this finale was disturbing. They need safeguards to insure contestants stay in the healthy BMI range.”

Her trainer, Dolvett Quince, event told People of his reaction at the final weigh-in "The first thing that went through my mind was, 'That's just too much.’”
