The Vamps make their America debut on ‘Live With Kelly and Michael’

The UK pop band, The Vamps performed on ABC’s Live With Kelly and Michael on Thursday, Feb. 20 and was welcomed with open arms from fans.

The Vamps- consisting of James McVey, Connor Ball, Brad Simpson and Tristan Evans, have often been compared to the other UK pop band One Direction. It seems that the fans have been receptive to the new band as well as they were mobbed by fans after their appearance on Live with Kelly and Michael.

They performed their newest single, Wild Heart for Kelly and Michael’s audience. By the end of the performance, Michael Strahan joked, “I’m trying to figure out how you’re jumping around and singing at the same time. I tried but I was horrible.”

Lead singer, Brad Simpson joked back, “You gotta practice at home.”

The Vamps had just finished supporting Taylor Swift on five shows during her UK Red Tour earlier this month. The boys also performed at the Gramercy Theater in New York City Feb. 19 in which, according to Alter The Press the boys sold out.

Additionally, after opening for Taylor Swift in London’s O2 arena, The Vamps will also be headlining their own UK tour starting in September. The tickets go on sale April 26.
