U2 will perform at the Oscars

It has recently been announced that U2 will be performing at the upcoming Academy Awards, the famous rock 'n' roll group will be performing "Ordinary Love," which is nominated for best original song and is featured in the film, Mandela: Long Walk To Freedom.

Producers Craig Zadan and Neil Meron announced on Wednesday that the group will perform their Oscar-nominated song during the live broadcast of the Oscars.

The band is used to being on a global stage, they have toured the world and sold over 150 million records worldwide and have won 22 Grammy awards.

Other artists that are set to take the stage during the Oscars include Idina Menzel for Frozen, she will be performing "Let It Go," which is featured in animated film. Pharrell Williams will be performing his single, "Happy" which was featured in Despicable Me 2. "The Moon Song" from Her is also nominated for best original song, Broadway World reported.

The 86th Academy Awards which will be hosted by Ellen DeGeneres, will air live on March 2 on ABC, CBS added.
