UNICEF Tap Project gives a day of clean water every minute you don’t touch your phone

How long can you go without using your phone? Do you want to be able to help people, but never have the time? If you answered one minute or more and yes, respectively, then keep reading.

According to Wired.co.uk, UNICEF’s Tap Project is a campaign aimed to provide access to clean water. Many people in countries around the world don’t have access to clean, safe water and UNICEF has come up with an ingenious campaign in which anyone can help, in what may be the easiest way possible.

If you want to be a part of this, here is what you have to do, according to Tech.firstpost.com. Go to http://uniceftapproject.org on your cellular phone and press the “Begin” button. It will go to a screen that will explain to you that each minute away from your phone equals 1 day of clean water. Press the “Continue” button and put your phone down on a flat surface. It’s as simple as that.

There will be a clock at the bottom of the screen running and keeping track of how many minutes you can go without touching your phone. How long can you go?

In a world that seems to be so caught up in technology, this project led by UNICEF seems to put it all into perspective. It’s a great way to put everything aside, even if only for a few minutes, while helping out people in need at the same time.
