Verizon unveils new plan changes to win over more customers

The number one wireless carrier has unveiled new plan changes to lure customers away from its competitors.

According to CNNMoney, Verizon released the details of some of the new changes on Thursday. The company is offering more data, storage, unlimited messaging and some additional discounts.

Data is set to double, customers will not be charged for more storage, the unlimited international text messaging will include pictures and videos and some “Edge” plans will be eligible for discounts.

Verizon has decided to make the changes in response to AT&T’s reduced plans, Sprint’s “Framily” plan and T-Mobile’s cutting out contracts.

T-Mobile has been so aggressive throughout the price wars that the company offered to pay out early termination fees of up to $650 for anyone who switches from Verizon, AT&T or Sprint.

CNET noted that some analyst believe the danger in charging too little for a plan is that people back off because they think there is always a catch.

With its new offers the largest carrier hopes to stay ahead of the pack and continue to dominant the other service providers.
