Andrew Garfield and 'Batkid' enjoyed time at Disneyland

Even though Andrew Garfield and Batkid did not present at the Oscars, the two had a great time at Disneyland.

Josh deBerge, the National Communications Manager of Make-A-Wish of America released a statement about the trip that Garfield and BatKid took to Disneyland instead of the Oscars. "We were happy that Andrew, on his own time, drove to Anaheim on Monday to spend time with Miles and his family. We understand they had a great time," said deBerge.

"Batkid" became famous after the Make-A-Wish Greater Bay Area chapter help this young boy become "Batkid" for a day back in November and the event went viral on YouTube. Christian Bale, who played Batman in the popular Christopher Nolan series, even noticed the "Batkid" phenomenon, US Weekly reported.

Thousands of bystanders cheered on "Batkid" while he saved San Francisco from The Penguin and The Joker. The young boy was diagnosed with leukemia at 18 months old. After concluding treatments in June he is now in remission. Following the event going Viral, he was asked to come to the Oscars with "Spider-Man" himself.

E! Online reported that the Academy Awards had to cut the portion of the show that featured both Garfield and "Batkid" due to the nature of the live show and that the logistics of the productions did not come together for that segment.
