Celebrity Birthdays, March 1: Justin Bieber, Kesha Sebert, and Jensen Ackles

Singers Justin Bieber, Kesha Sebert, and actor Jensen Ackles are celebrating their birthdays today.

Justin Bieber, 20

Canadian pop singer Justin Bieber turns 20 today. Bieber was discovered in 2008 by producer Scooter Braun, who saw his YouTube videos, and became his manager. Bieber was signed to Raymond Braun Media Group after meeting with Usher Raymond, and then signed a record deal with L. A. Reid's Island Records. He released his first seven track EP My World in 2009, and it was certified Platinum in the United States. His first full length album, My World 2.0 was released in 2010, and was also certified Platinum.

Beiber had his first headlining tour, My World Tour, and had a 3-D concert film, Justin Bieber: Never Say Never. He released a Christmas album, Under the Mistletoe in 2011, and his second studio album, Believe, in 2012. in 2013, he explained via Twitter that he was retiring, but his management team denied it.

Kesha Sebert, 27

Singer-songwriter and rapper Kesha Serbert, stage name Ke$ha, turns 27 today. Ke$ha started doing background vocals and songwriting for other artists. She made her breakthrough after being featured in Flo Rida's hit "Right Round" in 2009. Her debut album, Animal, was released in 2010. It debuted at No. 1 in the United States and featured the hit singles "Tik Tok" and "We Are Who We Are."

Ke$ha continued to write songs for other artists, including the Britney Spears hit "Til the World Ends." Her second album, Warrior, was released in 2012 and featured the single "Die Young." She has won several Billboard Awards, and as of Nov. 2013, She has sold over 35 million records in the US, and 57 million worldwide.

Jensen Ackles, 36

Actor Jensen Ackles turns 36 today. Ackles started modeling at the age of 4. He then decided to focus on acting in 1996. He had a few guest roles on Mr. Rhodes, Sweet Valley High, and Cybill. in 1997, Ackles joined the cast of NBC's Days of our Lives as Eric Brady. He won a Soap Opera Digest Award in 1998, and was nominated for 3 Daytime Emmy's.

Ackles played the seriel killer, Ben/X5-493 in James Cameron's FOX series Dark Angel. He then went on to play a series regular in Smallville. He also appeared in a few films including Ten Inch Hero and My Bloody Valentine 3-D. Ackles is married to Danneel HArris(One Tree Hill), and they have a daughter, Justice Jay Ackles.

Ackles currently plays Dean Winchester on the CW's Supernatural. It is currently on Season 9, and has been renewed for a tenth season.
