Led Zeppelin’s first three albums to be reissued in June

In case you don’t have enough editions of Led Zeppelin’s first three albums on CD, tape and vinyl, the albums are being released again in deluxe packages. Each album will include bonus material like live recordings and studio outtakes.

The news is not surprising, as plans for the reissues were reported on in January. However, today’s announcement outlined the contents of each package for Led Zeppelin (1969), Led Zeppelin II (1969) and Led Zeppelin III (1970).

Each album will have different remastered editions available. There will be a basic CD set that only includes the album proper, plus a vinyl album-only remastered edition. The next level up are 2-CD sets that will include a bonus disc of extra material. There will also be deluxe vinyl packages that include the extra material. Led Zeppelin’s deluxe vinyl set will be three records, as the Paris 1969 show included will be spread over two discs.

If none of the regular deluxe sets are enough for you, there are Super Deluxe Editions for each album. These will include the albums and the bonus audio on both vinyl and CD; a download card for high-definition audio; a 70-page hardcover book; and individually numbered print of the album cover art. Led Zeppelin gets a special extra - a copy of the Atlantic Records press kit for the album.

The group’s first three records are some of the most acclaimed albums in rock history. The first set includes “Good Times Bad Times” and “Dazed and Confused,” while the second has “Heartbreaker” and “Whole Lotta Love.” Led Zeppelin III features “Immigration Song.”

The group includes John Paul Jones, Robert Plant, Jimmy Page and the late John Bonham.

The reissues will hit stores on June 3.
