Lena Dunham tells Glamour that she may not want to continue acting after 'Girls'

Lena Dunham is not only the star of HBO’s hit series Girls, but the creator, writer, director and producer. She stands up for what she believes in and is a true inspiration to all women. It’s hard not to fall in love with the inappropriately honest character, Hannah, that she created and plays. Dunham may do it all, but it seems her future may not involve much acting.

Dunham, 27, looks stunning as she graces the cover of the April issue of Glamour magazine. She rocks her usual short, sleek hair and dramatic cat-eye makeup. Typicall, Dunham isn’t one to wear much make-up and she even admitted in the interview, “I feel prettier with a naked face and ChapStick.”

When it comes to life after the show Girls, Dunham says that she may prefer to stay behind the camera instead of in front of it. “I don’t know if I’m going to want to act anymore,” she told the magazine. “I’m always relieved on the days I don’t have to. I’d rather give parts to other women than be the woman having the parts.”

She is known for being naked in most episodes of the show and it doesn’t always go over well with viewers. People believe she doesn’t have what our society thinks is a body an actress should have, but Dunham has no shame.

In her last magazine cover, for Vogue, Jezebel offered $10,000 for the un-retouched images from the magazines February issue cover. “I think Jezebel can be really smart and funny, but once you’ve been attacked in that way it’s hard to enjoy,” Dunham told Bill Simmons in an interview for Grantland. She admits that she was kind of scared to see the un-retouched images of herself and that she might be delusional to what she looks like.

When she did she the un-retouched images, she was completely please. “And it was like-they smoothed a line here, and shaved a line on my neck. It was the most minimal retouching. I felt completely respected by Vogue.”
