Musician, Mike Posner, who is known for his singles, “Please Don’t Go” and “Cooler Than Me” has just announced an unplugged tour and is opening up about his new album.
Last summer, Posner spent time out on the road opening up for Justin Bieber during his Believe tour. This provided Posner the opportunity to play arenas and huge venues all across the United States. Now it seems that Posner wants to go in a different direction, scheduling a string of tour dates that will feature himself, an acoustic guitar and piano. The venues will be smaller and more intimate compared to the arenas that he played last summer, Billboard.
He will be playing seven shows in major markets and will be playing music from his older albums and new singles off of his upcoming Pages record.
In a recent interview the “Cooler Than Me” singer described the tour as being something special for fans that have seen his musical transformation and rise to fame in the music industry. “This is going to be a treat for my most loyal fans that have supported me through the years. I’ve never been able to present my music in this fashion, over just an acoustic guitar or just a piano. It’s how most of my music is written, so it’s incredibly exciting for me as a performer to get to play these sorts of really small venues. Of course, having toured last year and doing arenas with Justin Bieber, it’s fun to do the opposite,” said Posner.
Posner also went on to explain that Bieber will be featured on a single off of Pages. He also explained that Big Sean was a major inspiration behind this album and moving forward with his music, The Urban Daily reported.
