Miranda Lambert announces 'Platinum,' will be released in June

Miranda Lambert has announced that her next album will be titled Platinum and will be released for fans on June 3rd. This album comes almost three years after her last record Four The Record.

The long wait between albums is due to the fact that Lambert released an album with her group Pistol Annies and extended her tour, AP reported.

Lambert also explained that at this point in her career she wanted to take her time and make her full creative vision come to life. She explained that this took time but was worth it. "From the day you kinda go I need to start looking for songs and writing songs, it feels like no matter how much time you have, you're rushed," said Lambert.

She went on to say that it was important to make sure every track on the album was the way that she had heard it in her mind. "And so I didn't want to rush it at all. To me it's all about timing and making sure that you can feel like you can finally sit there and go, OK, the album's done, and never have a moment where you go, I wish we could change that or I wish we had a different song," said the "Mama's Broken Heart" singer.

Fans have a lot to look forward to on this album including a collaboration with fellow female country music superstar for Carrie Underwood for the single "Something Bad."

Lambert will soon be taking the stage again with Keith Urban during the ACM awards to perform their hit "We Were Us," reported People.
