Paul Walker's mother files for guardianship of granddaughter Meadow

Paul Walker’s mother, Cheryl Walker, has filed for guardianship of 15-year-old Meadow Rain Walker.

Following the tragic death of the Fast and Furious star, Meadow became the sole beneficiary of his multimillion-dollar-estate, according to E! News. Due to this, Walker’s mother believes Meadow needs extra legal protection.

Cheryl also stated in the papers that Meadow and her mother currently live wither her, and “the mother has a drinking problem.”

Meadow was living with Paul for the past three years before the accident, according to Daily Mail, after living with her mother, who was arrested for driving under the influence in 2003 and again in 2013.

In Paul’s will, he stated he wanted his mother to take on the role of guardian to his daughter, so Cheryl’s filing is part of Paul’s wishes.

As for the mother, Rebecca, she previously claimed she was happy for Meadow to live with her grandmother because the teen wants to continue to live in California.

Prior to the accident, Paul stated he was planning to give up acting in order to spend more time with his daughter.

'He was a family man and I know it hurt him to be spending so much time away from Meadow on location; he loved being with his daughter, she was his world,” close friend Ronn Shikari said.
