President Obama reveals his NCAA March Madness bracket and Final Four picks

The Basketball Fan in Chief has just revealed his bracket for the NCAA Men’s Basketball tournament, which kicks off this week. President Barack Obama showed off his Final Four picks and who he’s rooting for to win it all.

Obama picked Florida, Arizona, Louisville and Michigan State to make it to the Final Four. He has Michigan State and Louisville playing for the title on April 7 in Arlington, Texas, with Michigan State winning.

“Tom Izzo is a great tournament coach,” Obama told ESPN. “I've got Michigan State going all the way. ... He know how to motivate folks and he knows how to coach. My pick: Michigan State. Bring it home for me. It's been a while since I've won my pool.”

As The New York Daily News notes, Obama isn’t expecting many upsets. After all, he’s got two No. 1 seeds (Arizona and Florida) and two No. 4s (Louisville and Michigan State) in the Final Four. He has the other two No. 1 seeds (Virginia and Wichita State) getting knocked out during the Sweet Sixteen round.

“I know these are not the most imaginative picks, but they’re the right ones,” Obama told ESPN.

Obama has been picking National Champion winners for the past six years and the only one he got right was when he picked North Carolina to win it all in 2009. His last four championship picks haven’t even made it to the Final Four.
