Sarah Jessica Parker launches a shoe line at Nordstrom

Known for her iconic role, Carrie Bradshaw, on Sex and the City Sarah Jessica Parker has released a glamorous shoe line.

E! Online reports that Parker’s shoe line has a variety of styles to meet the needs of every diva from flirty strappy sandals to modern seductive pumps.

Parkers fashionista line that is in union with Manolo Blahnik CEO George Malkemus III, is at Nordstrom and it not only includes shoes but handbags and apparel.

About the idea and inspiration of her new line Parker said, “There's decades and decades and decades of incredible imagery that you probably have in your head that's meaningful to you. It just so happens that George and I shared the same period of interest. I wanted to go back in time to the simple shoe, which is really hard to do well. That was really our point of inspiration."

The Sex and the City spirit lives on with one of the shoes in Parker’s line that is called “Carrie.” She told Chicago Sun-Times how she chose the shoes that embodied the character. There was a lot of trial and error before she felt that her choice was the right one.

Parker said, “…This shoe [a T-strap heeled number in purple] is kind of a contradiction. Because there is something very feminine and ladylike about this shoe, but the purple is a little subversive. The purple is the person that chose not to wear the appropriate thing to work. And I feel that’s what Carrie was.”

She went on to talk about the possibility of a third Sex and the City movie. It seems that there is no talk on it coming together any time soon. As it remains obscure Parker has faith in the writer and director Michael Patrick King.

About the movie Parker said, “He and I both know what the last part of the story is. None of the other women know. But I trust Michael’s sense of timing. I don’t know that the time will ever be right to tell it. So there are no plans. But I do know, and Michael knows, what that third story would be. And it’s small, but mighty.”
