Steve Carell set to star in upcoming 'The Priority List’

Actor Steve Carell is signed on to join the cast of the upcoming drama The Priority List. Along with staring in the film, Carell is also set to help produce.

The film which is being produced by Warner Bros. is a movie version of the popular novel David Menasche’s “The Priority List: A Teacher’s Final Quest to Discover Life’s Greatest Lessons."

This memoir was published back in January and Warner Bros. has now acquired the rights to move forward with the production, Variety reported.

The Priority List will tell the story of a teacher that has been going through a six-year battle with brain cancer. This cancer took away his ability to continue to teach. This is followed by a self journey of more than 8,000 miles in which he goes to visit former students. In the end, this journey helps the main character to come to terms with his illness and to live in the present, The Guardian reported.

Carell will be seen next on the big screen in Sony Classics’ Foxcatcher and Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day, which is being produced by Disney.

No release date or other information regarding the film has yet to be released.
