Two members of the band Pussy Riot attacked at a McDonald's outside of Moscow

Two members of the Russian band Pussy Riot were attacked inside a McDonald’s while eating breakfast.

According to Yahoo, the punk rock band members, Nadezhda Tolokonnikova and Maria Alyokhina, were at a McDonald’s not 300 miles outside of Moscow having breakfast when a group of six men threw trash and paint at them. The two filmed the incident and put video of it online.

The band became famous after performing a song denouncing Russian President Vladimir Putin. It was an incident that got them arrested and convicted of hooliganism. The two had only been released last December.

Reuters reports that the men who attacked the duo were shouting “(Go) to America!” due to their activist behavior.

This is not the first incident that members of Pussy Riot have faced. The two were briefly held in Sochi after they jail release in December by police after being halted by security at the Winter Olympics. Police have declined to comment on the events that happened, stating that it is currently under investigation.
