USA Network puts in series order for escort drama starring 'The Glades’ Matt Passmore

Matt Passmore, who starred in A&E’s series The Glades, will be returning to television. The actor is set to star in a new USA Network series that centers on a husband learning that his wife is using a male escort service.

The project comes from Sean Jablonski, who was the showrunner on the first season of USA’s Suits, notes The Hollywood Reporter. It pairs Passmore with The Devil Wears Prada’s Stephanie Szostak, who plays his wife.

Passmore is Neil Truman, an investment banker in a troubled relationship with his wife, Grace. Their relationship crumbles when Neil discovers that Grace is using a male escort service and Grace begins to consider ending the marriage.

According to Deadline, the series will be shot in Atlanta and Jablonski will co-produce with Krasnoff/Foster Entertainment’s Russ Krasnoff (Community).

USA Network President Chris McCumber called the called the project “a powerful new addition to our drama slate and marks the next generation of sophisticated storytelling for USA.”

The series is set to premiere this summer and the first season will run 10 episodes. Other shows on the network include Psych, which is entering its last season; White Collar; Covert Affairs; Suits; Royal Pains and Graceland. USA also has several new shows set to premiere this year, including the Denis Leary-produced Sirens.

Passmore became available for the show after A&E cancelled The Glades last August. The show was A&E’s first scripted success and started in 2010.
