Wisconsin outmuscles Arizona in overtime thriller to reach Final Four

No. 2 seed Wisconsin prevailed over No. 1 seed Arizona in a matchup for the ages as the game went into overtime. The Badgers won 64-63 after the Wildcats failed to capitalize on an opportunity to make the winning shot. This marks Wisconsin's first Final Four since 2000 and the first of head coach Bo Ryan's career.

The Wildcats held a relatively large lead early on in the second half, but the Badgers fought back later to make the halftime score 28-25. There was then three lead changes in the second half. Traevon Jackson failed to close it out for the Badgers in regulation with three seconds left.

Frank Kaminsky gave the Badgers a three-point lead with 1:13 left before Jordin Mayes cut the lead to one with a minute remaining. Josh Gasser turned the ball over with three seconds remaining to give Nick Johnson an opportunity to win it for the Wildcats, according to USA Today. He missed it to give the Badgers a hard-fought victory.

Kaminsky led the Badgers with 28 points and 11 rebounds, according to ESPN. Nick Johnson led the Wildcats with 16 points, and Aaron Gordon added 18 rebounds despite struggling on offense.
