Woman believed to be 40 found mummified in her car at her foreclosed home

A mummified body of a women believed to be in her 40’s was discovered in her garage by a repair man that was from a company managed by the mortgage company.

According to Detriot Free Press, Oakland County Undersheriff Mike McCabe said that investigators believe the woman has been dead since 2008, which is the year her license plate expired, and continues to say that “She had $54,000 in her account and her bills were being deducted. Eventually the money ran out and her house went into foreclosure.”

Neighbors told authorities that they had thought the woman had moved out of the country because they hadn’t seen her in three or four years.

Robert Gerds, administrator for the medical examiner's office reported that, "She's been dead years. Everything is pending right now. It's still under investigation," according to Houston Chronicle. He also thought the women had died during the winter because she was found in a heavy coat.

The repair man made the shocking discovery after neighbors complained that there was a hole in the roof.
