Coldplay announces intimate live shows for 'Ghost Stories'

Coldplay will be going back on the road in preparation for their upcoming album Ghost Stories. The rock 'n' roll band is known for selling out stadiums across the world but for this promotional tour, the band will play six smaller venues in different cities.

Shows will include stops in Germany, the U.S., France, Japan and the U.K., Billboard reported. The shows will kick off on April 25 at E-Werk in Cologne.

Coldplay recently headlined the iTunes SXSW festival but before that played a much smaller venue, the Ring O' Bells pub in Compton Martin, Somerset. In interviews Chris Martin explained that after their Mylo Xyloto, the group would not be planning any big stadium tours for at least a couple of years.

The Guardian added that this is the sixth studio album from the band and it will be released worldwide on May 19th.
