Country singer Glen Campbell moves to Alzhemier's facility three years after going public with it

Country singer Glen Campbell, 78, has moved to a Alzhemier's facility, three years after he went public with having it. He moved in last week and it isn’t clear how long he will remain there.

A family friend told People, "He was moved to an Alzhemier's facility last week. I'm not sure what the permanent plan is for him yet. We'll know more next week."

When Campbell and his wife, Kim Woolen, told fans in an interview with People that he had Alzhemier’s, they did it because he was going to do a farewell tour and they wanted to be honest with his fans in case he forgot the words to any of his songs or exhibited any other type of strange behavior.

In August, Woolen, his fourth wife, spoke to USA Today about it, saying he’s taken up golf and likes to watch the Golf Channel as well as singing competition shows like The Voice.

"A movie is pretty difficult because he can't follow a story line," she said. She also added, "He went through a phase of being agitated and restless.”
