Led Zeppelin previews previously unreleased tracks from upcoming remasters

Led Zeppelin is back with new music, although they have been sitting in vaults for four decades, unavailable for fans. Now, with the upcoming remastered editions of their first three albums coming soon, the group is starting the marketing campaign, which includes previewing the unheard material.

The two tracks the group previewed for the press are a cover of the blues standard “Keys to the Highway” and an alternate version of their hit “Whole Lotta Love,” reports the BBC. Jimmy Page, 70, said that he supervised the remasters and combed through the archives himself to find the unreleased material.

“I don't want to die and have somebody else do it. I'm authoritative about what was done in the first place,” Page said. The material “deserves to be heard.”

The “Keys to the Highway” track, which also includes “Trouble In Mind,” will be released on the deluxe edition of Led Zeppelin III. “Whole Lotta Love” will be featured with Led Zeppelin II, which includes the familiar released version. The remastered version of their first album, Led Zeppelin, will include a full Paris concert from 1969.

The rematers hit stores on June 3.

The LZ III release might be the most interesting for hardcore fans. According to Reuters, the bonus material not only includes “Keys To The Highway/Trouble In Mind,” but also the original songs “Jennings Farm Blues” and “Bathroom Sound.”

Earlier this month, the group released “Good Times Bad Times/Communication Breakdown” from the Paris 1969 show on Spotify as another teaser. It’s also featured in a promo spot.

Led Zeppelin features Page, singer Robert Plant, bassist John Paul Jones and the late drummer John Bonham.
