Paul Tracy joins NBC Sports Network as IndyCar analyst

Paul Tracy joins NBCSN as IndyCar anaylst for the NBC Sports Group.

Tracy brings his skills and expertise to the booth. According to NBC, there will be extensive coverage of the 2014 Verizon IndyCar Series. The series will feature 13 races, including doubleheaders in Houston and Toronto.

Tracy’s first assignment with the NBC network will be on April 13 at Long Beach. Tracy has 20 years of experience in the field and held a second-place finish at the 2002 Indianapolis 500. Lead announcers this season will be Leigh Diffey. IndyCar driver Townsend Bell will be present at all events, while Wally Dallenbach Jr. will be analyzing the races.

According to the Associated Press, analysts David Hobbs and Steve Matchett, and announcers Bob Varsha and Brian Till, will also work select races. NBC Sports Group has the rights to 13 IndyCar races this season, including the doubleheaders in Houston and Toronto.

News coverage will begin with the Toyota Grand Prix of Long Beach on Sunday, April 13 at 4PM on NBCSN.
