Singer Richard Marx and wife Cynthia Rhodes decide to end 25-year marriage

Singer Richard Marx and his wife Cynthia Rhodes have announced that after 25 years of marriage they are heading for a divorce.

People reports that the couple who have been separated since last July are ending their marriage. During an interview with Katie Couric, Marx described how he was entering a new phase in his life by being single again and getting back into the dating game. Marx says, "It's all brand new to me, so I'm just having fun." Marx and Rhodes first met each over 30 years ago, when Rhodes was starring alongside John Travolta in the movie Saturday Night Fever and Marx was working on songs for the movie's soundtrack.

According to Us Weekly, besides Saturday Night Live, Rhodes is also known for her appearances in Flashdance and Dirty Dancing. While, Marx is best recognized for his hit songs, "Hold On to the Nights" and "Right Here Waiting'.
The couple were married back in 1989 and have three children together, sons Brandon, 23, Lucas, 21, and Jesse, 20.
