'The Face' recap: 'Going Viral'

During the last episode of Oxygen’s latest creation the contestants had learn how to become brand ambassadors and run through their first commercial in one seamless take. While some girls take a shine to the cameras, others fizzled through take after take. In addition, one girl from Team Naomi was sent home.
During this weeks episode the girls have to create an online viral video that displays the product, and air of edge, and fierce dance moves.

In the start of the episode, Naomi is fuming that her model Alana Duval was sent home over Allison Millar. (Which she does have a right to be, as Alyson hasn’t tried as hard as her other team mates and her team hasn’t won a single challenge yet. ) While Anne V, tries to explain herself Naomi doesn’t want to hear another word and with that exits out the door.

Without the aid of test shoot, the girls are yet again sent straight into another campaign. This week the girls have to market a viral video for Liesbeskind Berlin accessories, and incorporate synchronized choreography while being rebellious and edgy. The prize for the winning Team is their video would be featured on the website, and one lucky girl would be in their next fashion look book.

Now we all know that in a competition when it comes to dance, people of color usually excel, however tonight wasn’t in favor for some of our models of color. On Naomi’s team Afiya Bennet, was clearly the stronger of teammates, while Felisa Wiley was struggling to find the rhythm. And let me tell you Naomi was not happy! On Team Anne V it was the Senegal beauty Khadisa Gaye, that was having a problem holding onto the prop and doing the same dance moves as the rest of her teammates. For Team Lydia it seemed like there was no hope for them to win a challenge, even Lydia herself stepped in to provide a routine for her girls.

In front of the cameras, Team Anne V shined, and even though Khadisa still had some trouble holding the bag it was still one of the standouts. In Team Naomi while Afiya was serving up some incredible dance moves, Felisa wasn’t able to shrug off her timid exterior. Team Lydia was a train wreck all over the place, Amanda didn’t have the energy, and Allison was awkward. However, Ray was the best one on her team that executed the moves correctly. In the end it was Anne V, who narrowly won over Team Naomi, and Sharon was selected to be in the next seasons look book.

So yet again it was up to Anne V, to see which girl from Team Lydia and Team Naomi ttay in this competition. So it the bottom two it was Felisa from Team Naomi and Allison from Team Lydia. While Anne V has been going in on Team Naomi for quite some team she sent Allison home because she broke their promise to never see her in the bottom two again.

Do you think the right girl went home? Did Allison deserve another chance or did Felisa need to pack her belongings and leave? Let me know in the comments below.
