Mariah Carey announced that she is planning a “Beyonce” style album drop. Carey has been working on her 14th album since 2010, according to BillBoard.

Carey revealed that she will unveil the title of her album, track list, artwork and music all at the same time. She has not yet said through what digital partners (i.e. iTunes).

Carey says that she will do it this way because she has to be the one to reveal the title and music. She says that the title is part of an entity that she’s had her entire life.

Collaborators such as Rodney Jerkins and Dupri have come back to help Carey with the 14th album and release. Other producers such as Hit-Boy andMike Will Made It have also helped Carey in this process. There are also guest features on the album like, Wale, Nas and Trey Songz as well as Larry Gold and the Love Unlimited Orchestra. There was also one person who Carey teased that she could not reveal.

“This is my life since we last left off, “Carey says. “Just picture a dot dot dot then the album.”
