Bret Michaels suffers health emergency during New Hampshire show

Bret Michaels suffered a health scare on Thursday night in Manchester, New Hampshire during a concert when his blood sugar went low.

E! News reported that Michaels had gotten through three songs when he had leave the stage. His guitarist, Pete Evick, told fans on Facebook that a crew member informed him what happened. Michaels was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes in childhood and he only returned to the stage to let fans know he couldn’t continue.

In his message to fans, Pete Evick informed them that while was having a difficult time and was really sick, Michaels main concern was for the fans and he wanted Evick to apologize to them.

New York Daily News also reported that Michaels thanked the paramedics who cared for him during his emergency. A message on his Facebook expressed thanks to the paramedics “both on and off duty.”

In 2010, Michaels appeared on Celebrity Apprentice and won. During that same year, he suffered a brain hemmoraghe but recovered while maintaining a positive attitude during the ordeal.

The money Michaels raised during his stint on Celebrity Apprentice went toward the American Diabetes Foundation.
