Actor Clint Eastwood and rapper Waka Flocka Flame are celebrating their birthdays today.
Clint Eastwood, 84
Actor, film director, producer and composer Clint Eastwood turns 84 today. Eastwood rose to fame with his role as the Man with No Name in the Dollars Western trilogy in the 1960s, and as Harry Callahan in the five Dirty Harry films throughout the 1970s and 1980s. For his roles in Unforgiven and Million Dollar Baby, Eastwood won Academy Awards for Best Director and Producer of the Best Picture, as well as receiving nominations for Best Actor.
Eastwood’s greatest commercial successes have been Every Which Way But Loose and its sequel, Any Which Way You Can. Other popular films include Hang ‘Em High, Play Misty for Me, Thunderbolt and Lightfoot, The Outlaw Josey Wales, Escape from Alcatraz, Firefox, Tightrope, Pale Rider, Heartbreak Ridge, In the Line of Fire, The Bridges of Madison County and Gran Torino.
In addition to directing many of his own films, Eastwood has also directed films in which he did not appear, such as Mystic River and Letters from Iwo Jima, for which he received Academy Award nominations, and Changeling. Eastwood was awarded two of France’s highest honors: in 1994 he became a recipient of the French Republic’s Commandeur of the Ordre des Arts et des Lettres and in 2007 he was awarded the Légion d’honneur medal. In 2000, he was awarded the Italian Venice Film Festival Golden Lion for lifetime achievement.
Eastwood has seven children from previous relationships. Eastwood directed and produced the upcoming film, Jersey Boys.
Waka Flocka Flame, 28

Atlanta rapper, Waka Flocka Flame turns 28 today. Born Juaquin Malphurs, Waka Flocka became a mainstream artist in 2009 with the release of the singles “O Let’s Do It”, “Hard in da Paint” and “No Hands”, the latter peaking at No. 13 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. His debut album, Flockaveli, was released in Oct 2010. The album debuted at No. 6 on the Billboard 200 chart.
In 2011, Waka Flocka released several mixtapes. In 2011, he teamed up with Gucci Mane, and released a collaborative album titled Ferrari Boyz. In 2013, Waka Flocka released his mixtape DuFlocka Rant 2, with guest appearances from Gucci Mane, Lil Wayne, French Montana, Ace Hood and Young Scooter, and more. Waka Flocka is ready to release his second studio album, Flockaveli 2, but its release is constantly being postponed. Flockaveli 2 will feature artists like Drake and Ne-Yo, and is scheduled to be released sometime this year.
