Ed Sheeran announces ‘X’ album release party

Ed Sheeran will be releasing a preview of his sophomore album X at Clea Channel’s iHeartRadio Theater in Los Angeles. The release party will be taking place on June 17th.

Billboard reported that Sheeran will be playing songs off of X and will then participate in a live Q&A with special celebrity host Mario Lopez.

Upon the news of an album release party being made public, Sheeran was also announced as the first performer to be confirmed for the fourth annual iHeartRadio Music Festival in Las Vegas, which will be taking place on September 19 and 20th. iHeartRadio is working with Pepsi to bring this festival to life.

Chad Stubbs, senior director of digital & media at PepsiCo Americas Beverages, spoke about adding Sheeran to the lineup. “Pepsi is known for partnering with leaders in music to bring fans exclusive and iconic experiences. We’re thrilled to collaborate with our longstanding partner, Clear Channel, to drop Ed Sheeran’s highly anticipated album ‘x.’ This is yet another example of how Pepsi maximizes its partnerships to be part of major music moments.”

Digital Spy added that even though Sheeran is working on promoting his album he is still working in the studio with other artists. The “Lego House” singer just revealed that he is working with Jessie Ware on material for her upcoming album.
