Florida man who killed three people apprehended

Authorities in Florida have captured a man who shot and killed three people over the weekend.

According to CBS News, when a 14-year-old girl returned home this weekend, she discovered the bodies of her slain mother, father, and an unidentified man.

Immediately the search began for 27-year-old David Eugene Smith, who authorities believe was related to at least one of the people he killed.

According to Fox News, Smith was captured by authorities after a standoff in Knoxville, Tennessee.

Smith’s family reportedly told authorities that he has a history of mental illness and may suffer from post-traumatic stress disorder due to time spent serving in the military in Iraq.

Before the shooting, Smith made mention of an ‘adulterous wife’ on Facebook, but he is not, and has never been, married.

This is not Smith’s first run in with the law. In 2009 Smith was arrested for cocaine possession, marijuana possession, carrying a concealed firearm, and narcotic equipment possession.
